Can I message a visitor after they close the website or chat widget?

Hey,

If a visitor closes the website, any message sent through the live chat widget will only be shown when they return to the site.

If you didn’t collect their email address or phone number before they left, the online chat widget has no way to reach them outside the website.

So the best practice is to ask for the visitor’s email or phone number in the welcome flow. That way, you’ll have a way to follow up with them even if they leave the site.
